As a tourist, I absolutely loved the setting and hospitality at 40 Bernisdale - The Sabhal. The room was gorgeous and the bed was extremely comfortable. The little kitchenette and fresh coffee were a great addition. The location was perfect, just 5 minutes from Portree and central to all the main visitor hot-spots. The room was spacious, with a massive shower area. The decor was tasteful and there was an outside sitting area for our private use. The host was really nice and even left plenty of food for breakfast, which was a lovely touch. The kitchen area was well-equipped and we had no problem making our own meals. it felt like a home away from home and staying here was like being with friends. Absolutely brilliant!
I felt very comfortable during my stay and have no complaints at all.

I recently stayed at a lovely farm stay in Skye called 40 Bernisdale - The Sabhal. The room was beautifully decorated with top class fittings, making it one of the best we saw in Scotland during our stay. I especially liked that the room had its own independent exit. The host, Rachael, was friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location was perfect for exploring the island, with a short drive into Portree for places to eat and a convenience store. The room itself was cozy and well equipped, perfect for two people. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like a loaf of bread, jams, tea, coffee, milk, salmon, and chocolate bars provided in the room for breakfast. The shower was fantastic and the bed was super comfortable. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this farm stay.
While the location was great for exploring the island, it was a bit out of the way and the price felt a little expensive considering we would have to rely on taxis for evening meals and drinks. Additionally, it would have been nice to have a place in the shower for toiletries.

Absolutely loved the comfortable bed with feathered duvet and pillows, ensuring one of the best nights sleep in a long time. The hostess, Rachael, went above and beyond, providing a beautiful breakfast despite our late arrival. Communication with her was excellent and she was quick to respond. The location was stunning, with easy access to a Co-Op shop and attractions like Old Man Storrs and Mealtfalls. The room had a handy hotplate and utensils for cooking, as well as a delightful coffee machine. Loved every minute and will definitely be returning!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely accommodation in Skye. The room was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, making me feel right at home. The highlight was the amazing shower, which had two types of shower heads to choose from. The attention to detail throughout the room was impressive. The owners and their families were so warm and welcoming, making me feel like part of their family. The location was perfect, just a short distance from Portree, with stunning views and the opportunity to explore a small sheep croft/farm. I enjoyed watching the sunset by the sea, just a quick walk away. The room itself was cozy and well-equipped, perfect for a couple. Although the room lacked hot water and there were some minor cleanliness issues, these were overshadowed by the overall quality of the stay. I highly recommend this accommodation for anyone visiting Skye. I had a truly memorable experience and will definitely be returning on my next visit to Skye.

The traditional Tartan style room was spacious and cozy, with a comfortable bed and excellent shower. The kitchen facilities were great, allowing me to enjoy a cooked breakfast in the morning. The view from the patio doors was fine, and it was a perfect spot to relax with a cup of tea before starting my day. The location was ideal, just a short drive into Portree where I found lovely restaurants and boutique shops. The owner, Rachel, was friendly and accommodating, even printing our ferry tickets for us. The room was well-insulated, keeping it cozy even during the cooler nights. I also appreciated that a fan was provided, which came in handy during Scotland's heat wave. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely return.
It can get quite warm at night, so a fan may be needed. ventilating the room without inviting bugs can be a challenge.
